This year has been an exciting one for Junior School Performing Arts, with a wonderful growth in student participation through our involvement in Wakakirri. The enthusiasm, dedication and commitment shown by our students has been inspiring, and we are incredibly proud of the way they have embraced this opportunity.
As we continue to grow the Performing Arts program, opportunities such as Wakakirri are invaluable. For many students, stepping onto a stage in front of an audience is a significant milestone. It allows them to experience the excitement and challenge of live performance, building skills and confidence that will benefit them well beyond the stage. For some of our students, this may be the only opportunity they have to participate in a large-scale performing arts event, making the experience even more meaningful and memorable.
We are proud to invest in these opportunities for our young people, nurturing their talents and encouraging them to believe in themselves. Watching students grow in confidence, form new friendships and achieve something they did not think possible is one of the greatest rewards of our Performing Arts program.
As our Wakakirri performers prepare to take the stage in Week 3, please join me in wishing them every success. We know they will represent our school with pride, enthusiasm and courage.
Chookas, Wakakirri performers! We are proud of you and cannot wait to see your hard work shine on stage.
