3Q had such an exciting Week 5!
The week began with a special visit to Fairhaven Retirement Village, where students shared God’s love through service to the community. The class performed the song Waymaker for the residents, bringing joy and encouragement to everyone who attended. Our students represented the school wonderfully, demonstrating kindness, respect, and compassion throughout the visit.
In English, students have started learning about procedural texts. They have enjoyed analysing a variety of procedures, including instructions for making paper aeroplanes. A class favourite was writing detailed instructions explaining how to open and eat a lolly! This fun activity helped students develop their understanding of sequencing, clear language, and precise instructions.
In Mathematics, students showed great resilience and determination while completing a maths exam. Later in the week, students enjoyed a hands-on learning activity using M&Ms to explore division. This engaging lesson helped bring mathematical concepts to life and made learning both meaningful and fun.
It has been a fantastic week of learning, service, and growth in 3Q. We are very proud of all our students and look forward to another wonderful week ahead!
