Welcome to Term 3. This is an exciting and important term for all students in Years 8–12, as it is their final academic term of the year. From Term 4, students will progress to their next year level, providing an excellent opportunity to begin preparing for the expectations and opportunities that lie ahead. Our Year 7 students will continue completing their Year 7 curriculum during Term 4; however they will do so with their Year 8 teachers. This transition is designed to help students become familiar with Senior School staff and expectations before commencing Year 8 the following year.
As part of our transition into Senior School, our Year 6 students will begin participating in elective subjects alongside the Year 7 cohort during Term 4. This valuable experience will help students become familiar with Senior School routines, classrooms, and subject offerings before commencing Year 7.
Our elective program has also undergone a significant refresh. A range of new and updated electives will be available from Term 4, providing students with engaging opportunities to develop new skills and explore areas of interest. Further information about each elective can be found on the College website.
Year 10 students will participate in their SET Plan interviews at the beginning of this term. These interviews are an important milestone as students begin selecting their subjects for next term and planning pathways towards their senior studies, vocational education, or university entrance. Subject line information is included below to assist families with these discussions.
For our Year 12 students considering university study, QTAC applications for 2027 admissions open on Tuesday, 4 August 2026. Applications submitted between 4 August, and 30 September 2026 incur the standard application fee of $75 for current Year 12 students, with higher fees applying after this date. Students will receive more information from the College about creating their QTAC account, registering for an ATAR, and completing their university applications as they prepare for tertiary study.
From 10 September to 17 September, Year 12 students will be completing their General Subjects Mock Examinations (see schedule below). Students are only required to attend school on days when they have an examination. More information will come out closer to the time.
All examinations will be held in S7.
