Welcome back to Term 3. I trust that all members of our College community enjoyed a refreshing holiday break and were able to spend meaningful time with family and friends.
A particularly warm welcome is extended to the new students and families joining Bayside Christian College this term. We are delighted that you have chosen to become part of our community and pray that you will quickly feel known, valued and at home among us.
As we begin another busy and exciting term, we look forward to continuing our shared work of inspiring students and families to know, love and follow Christ. May this term be filled with purposeful learning, growing friendships, new opportunities and many moments of joy.
Our Board Chair recently shared an article reflecting on “Hope”. In that article, he challenged each of us to make another person’s day a little brighter through something as simple as a smile, a genuine expression of concern or an act of kindness.
This is a challenge worth carrying into the new term. Every day provides us with opportunities to encourage, support and care for others. Through our words and actions, we can reflect the love that God has shown to each of us. May we be people who notice when someone is struggling, who choose kindness when it would be easier to walk past, and who bring hope into the lives of those around us.
Families are also kindly reminded of the importance of ensuring that College fees are paid by the required due dates. Timely payment enables the College to plan responsibly, maintain our programs and facilities, helps us to keep the fees as low as possible, and to continue to provide the high-quality Christian education and care our students deserve. Families experiencing financial difficulty are encouraged to contact the College so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed confidentially and respectfully.
At this time, we are particularly mindful that several families within our community are facing serious illness and significant personal challenges. We ask that you hold these families, and our wider College community, in your prayers. May they experience God’s comfort, strength, healing and peace, and may we continue to surround one another with compassion, practical care and faithful support.
As we enter Term 3 together, may we remain united in faith, committed to our Mission and intentional in showing the love of God to all people. May our smiles, our concern, our kindness and our willingness to serve make our College community—and the world around us—a little brighter.
