Book Week Parade: Grandparents & Special Friends Day
About the Event
We are delighted to invite grandparents and special friends to join us for a special celebration on Friday, 28 August, from 8:45 am to 10:45 am. The morning will begin with our Book Parade on the basketball court, followed by classroom visits and a shared morning tea.
This year’s Book Parade will also take place on the same day, and we invite all students to come dressed as their favourite book character. The 2026 Children’s Book Week theme is ‘Symphony of Stories’, and we are looking forward to seeing many creative dress-ups and enjoying a blast of a day together!
Event Schedule:
- 8:45 – 9:20 AM – Book Parade (Kindy to Year 12)
- 9:20 – 10:00 AM – Classroom visits
- 10:00 – 10:40 AM – Morning tea with grandchildren on the basketball court
If a grandparent or special friend is unable to attend, we encourage them to write a note to their grandchild. These can be sent in a sealed envelope or emailed to the Homeroom teacher. The notes will be shared with students on the day, allowing loved ones to be part of the celebration from afar.
Grandparents & Special Friends Day is a cherished occasion for all generations.
