Junior school art this term is exciting and bright. From Year 1 to Year 6 students are working on different units of work, with different themes and different media.
Year 1 and 2 are exploring the theme of animals, exploring ways to use shape and line to represent the focus animal.
Year 3 and 4 are examining the element of colour within their work. They are learning the terminology and working with specific colour themes each work.
Year 5 are looking at different ways to represent birds within their work.
From simple cartoon style to realistic representations students are using a variety of different approaches.
Year 6 are looking at different ways to create landscapes within work. Students are given a variety of techniques to practice then to apply to an artwork .
As students learn the foundational techniques and approaches, they build understanding and skills in making and responding to stimuli.
