From the Principal/CEO

Every person who enters our College—student, parent, staff member or visitor—should experience respect, kindness and dignity. These are not simply expectations for good behaviour; they are fundamental expressions of our Christian faith.

The Bible teaches that every person is created in the image of God. Each person therefore possesses God-given value, regardless of age, ability, background, personality or circumstances. Their worth is not determined by popularity, achievement or whether we agree with them. Their dignity comes from God.

From the Deputy Principal

Returning to Bayside after seven months away has felt like coming home.

It is difficult to explain the feeling of being back on our College grounds – standing out the front in the morning, greeting our students and families, and once again hearing the laughter of children instead of the sounds of a treatment room. I am truly thankful to be alive and grateful that, after all my body has endured, God has called me back to our College.

Time away has a way of changing the lens through which we see life. When we move from one responsibility to the next, we can easily become consumed by schedules, frustrations and all the little daily things demanding our attention.

When our health forces us to stop, we are reminded of what truly matters. Gratitude grows, and we become thankful for the gift of time. The stresses that once seemed so important begin to matter less when our health stands in the way of the life we long to live. We also gain much appreciation for the people who stand beside us, pray for us and help carry us through challenging times.

Learning Intervention in Action: Nurturing Growth Across the Junior School

This term, our Learning Intervention team has continued to work alongside students, teachers and families to provide targeted, responsive support across the Junior School. While some of this support takes place through structured intervention programs, much of it is also woven into the everyday life of our classrooms.

From the Chaplains: Embracing the Gift of Grace

Family responsibilities and Christian living can seem like an endless checklist of expectations. From work, children, and health to Bible reading and service, we carry crushing mental pressures. This constant striving leads to two vital questions: What standard am I comparing myself to, and what do I think will happen if I fail?
