TAFE at School programs provide students with the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications while completing their secondary education. These qualifications can contribute towards a student’s Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), develop industry-specific skills and enhance employment, apprenticeship, traineeship and tertiary education pathways.

This term, our Year 9 Science students have been investigating the fascinating world of energy and the many ways it impacts our everyday lives. We began by exploring light energy, learning how light travels and how our eyes and brain work together to help us see the world around us. Students examined the journey of light from a source, through the eye, and ultimately to the brain, where images are interpreted.

This term has been a busy and exciting one in the Food Technology and Hospitality classroom. Our Year 7 and 8 students have been developing their food preparation skills by creating a variety of healthy meals and nutritious lunchbox snacks, while learning about balanced diets and healthy food choices.
