Our Mission: To inspire students and families to know, love, and follow Christ through an aspirational education, founded on biblical principles and nurtured by a passionate and dedicated college community.
From the Principal
There are a great many times I am told I am stuck in the ’80s and my response is, “I liked it then”. I think it is interesting how we tend to like particular eras whether it be fashion, movies or music.
A song that has made an impact on me recently has been Praying to Nothing by Talent Stage Stories – definitely worth a listen on Spotify.
The lyricist wrote the words that opened this article, and the more I listen and consider these words, the more meaning I find in them. The message in the song is that God never left us – we walked away from Him a great many generations ago.
From the Deputy Principal
One of the greatest strengths of Bayside Christian College is the willingness of our students to get involved. Whether it is in the classroom, on the sporting field, in the performing arts or through service opportunities, participation builds confidence, resilience, friendships and a strong sense of belonging.

Sporting Success
One of the highlights so far this term was the All Schools Oztag Championships, where Bayside proudly entered six teams comprising 96 students from Years 4-12. Our representatives included the Year 6 Boys, Year 6 Girls, Year 8 Boys, Year 9 Boys, Year 9 Girls, and a Year 11 Mixed team. Our students performed exceptionally well throughout the competition, with four teams progressing to the quarter-finals and three teams – the Year 8 Boys, Year 9 Boys and Year 9 Girls – advancing to the semi-finals, ultimately finishing among the top four teams out of 18 in their respective divisions. This is an outstanding achievement and reflects the growth, commitment and determination demonstrated by our students both on and off the field.
We have also recently celebrated strong performances at the District Athletics Carnivals for both the 10-12 years and 13-19 years age groups. Bayside Christian College was honoured to receive the Overall Percentage Award, recognising the outstanding ratio of student participation and achievement across events. This award highlights not only the talent of our athletes but also their willingness to embrace opportunities and represent the College with pride.
