Principal/CEO Brian Grimes shared this message as part of Queensland Baptist’s Communal Prayer Week, reminding us that waiting is hardest in seasons of suffering and injustice, yet God calls us to remain steady in faith.

Like a farmer waiting for harvest, we are invited into active patience. Continuing to trust God and faithfully do what is in our hands while we wait.

Through prayer, we are reminded that God is sovereign and faithful, shaping our hearts and teaching us to surrender our timing to Him.

Introducing Beyond the Heart – a series of thought-provoking articles written by Bayside Christian College leaders and partners.

There are times at which there are issues of such significance in our world that we need to talk about them, we need to raise them … even if they are controversial.

Beyond the Heart is designed for such a purpose. The series will take some of the current social issues, those affecting our community, those affecting us as Australians, as Christians, and offer a range of thoughts and opinions. Sometimes potentially controversial, but only ever intended to create personal reflection and respectful dialogue.

Introducing Community Captains Corner – a new section of our newsletter created by our College’s Community Captains, Jessica and Damien. This section will feature regular updates from these hardworking student leaders, helping to spread the word about what’s going on at school, from a student perspective!

The countdown to the next round of House Games is officially on. Burrows, Chisholm, Johnson, and Stace are taking over the basketball courts Week 9 Wednesday to battle it out in a netball showdown.

Christ-Like Service with a Smile in College Canteen

For Amy Friesen, volunteering in the school canteen is about so much more than selling food and drinks.

It is an opportunity to serve the college community and brighten up the day for students and staff alike.

Mrs Friesen is a familiar, friendly face in the Castaway Café, volunteering once a week supporting Canteen Manager, Simon Deane.
