Welcome to another exciting term in Mathematics. Throughout this term, students across Years 7–10 will continue developing the mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills that will prepare them for future learning and everyday life.

5T has had an amazing start to Term Three. In Mathematics, the students were introduced to the concepts of factors and multiples.

What a fantastic start to Term 3! It has been wonderful to see our students return with so much enthusiasm and energy. From the very first lesson, they have jumped straight back into learning new skills, challenging themselves and enjoying a variety of fun games with their classmates.

This term Year 11 and 12 students are reimagining their prototypes to create a resolved artwork based on a political, social or environmental issue facing a local, national or global audience. The experimentation and ideas considered in the previous term is a springboard for this terms work.

This term students are learning about the life and reign of Akhenaten, the 10th Pharoah of the 18th dynasty of Egypt.  Students will consider the upbringing, cultural norms and the political traditions that influenced Akhenaten’s rule.  Students will complete this unit with an exam.

Students in Years 10–12 recently attended the Fraser Coast Careers Showcase in Maryborough, where they had the opportunity to explore a wide range of education, training and employment pathways.

Our Year 10 students recently stepped beyond the classroom and into the workforce during Work Experience Week, gaining valuable firsthand experience across a diverse range of industries.

Term 3 is well underway, and students across Humanities and Social Science and Business are embarking on exciting learning journeys that encourage inquiry, critical thinking and real-world understanding.

During Week 7, Mrs Harvey’s Year 8 Science students swapped their desks for laboratory stations as they completed a practical assessment focused on chemical and physical changes.
