This term has been full of energy, achievement, and outstanding student participation across all areas of our school sport program.

Our runners showed fantastic determination at the District Cross Country, giving their best efforts and supporting one another throughout the event. Their resilience and positive attitude were a real highlight.

We also had strong involvement in the Rugby League selection trials, where students demonstrated impressive skill, teamwork, and commitment. It has been wonderful to see so many students striving to represent our school at higher levels.

Our School Series OZtag teams continue to develop each week, displaying great sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Alongside this, Year 7 students have been learning OZtag skills during their in‑class sport sessions, building confidence and game awareness through practical skill development.

Across all year levels, we have placed a major focus on Athletics track and field skill development. Students have been working on running technique, throwing fundamentals, and jumping events in preparation for our Junior and Senior Athletics Carnivals in the final week of term. The effort and enthusiasm shown during these sessions have been outstanding.

A huge congratulations to the students who have earned selection into Wide Bay representative teams following recent trials:

  • Touch Football
    • Madeleine Kerr
  • 11/12yrs Boys Rugby League Wide Bay Team:
    • Hunter Ryan
    • Parker Hartley
  • U16 Boys Team:
    • Utah Blaikie
  • 2026 Wide Bay School Championships Side (17 & 18 yrs):
    • Tyson Saunders

This is a massive achievement and a reward for the hard work, dedication, and commitment these students have shown throughout the season. Representing Wide Bay is something to be incredibly proud of, and the entire Seagulls community is behind them.

Over the next five days of footy — play hard, play strong, and fly like a Seagull. Good luck boys; make the most of every moment and enjoy the experience.

Thank you to all staff, families, and volunteers who continue to support our sporting programs. We look forward to celebrating even more student success as we head into carnival week.
