English Week is a celebration of all things literature, communication and creative expression. Often coinciding with Book Week, English Week helps to promote a love of reading and creative thinking among students, through a range of activities and challenges.
This year, Head of English, Mr Whittaker, challenged our students to:
- A Blackout Poetry Challenge
- Write a Story in 200 Words (or less, using 3 surprise prompts)
- A Book Detectives Scavenger Hunt
- A ‘Bad Plot’ Summary Quiz
- The ‘Book Face’ Photo Challenge
The activities encouraged students to think creatively, collaborate with their peers and engage with literature in a fun and interactive way. It was fantastic to see so many students get involved and challenge themselves throughout the week.
